03 April 2024, 14:00 - 16:00 Uzbekistan Time | Open meeting

Hybrid, Silk Road by Minyoun, Samarkand, Uzbekistan

The survey carried out by the United Nations ESCAP and other partners on the implementation of trade facilitation and digital trade indicates that China and the Republic of Korea are at the forefront of cross-border paperless trade globally, with significant advancements also noted in Mongolia.

To facilitate these nations in evaluating their progress in cross-border paperless trade and to identify future directions in these three countries, the UNESCAP regional office for East and Northeast Asia (ENEA) and the Trade, Investment and Innovation Division of ESCAP, with the support of national experts from each of these countries, have conducted three studies on cross-border paperless trade of these countries.

This workshop will present the principal discoveries of the research. Invited experts will offer their perspectives on how the successful practices and learned lessons from these countries could serve as valuable reference for other nations in the region.

This workshop is a side event of Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum 2024.
