Skills Development

Organizations are effective only when they invest in developing employee skills. When asked about their major challenges, National Statistical Offices (NSOs) across the region primarily identify human resources. However, in addition to lack of staff and challenges in attracting and retaining talent, diversifying the traditional base must also include incorporating management, communication, ICT and data science expertise and skills. Working together, each skillset is critical to generating integrated policy analysis and fulfilling a transformative 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
