Taking place at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand on March 8, the Asia-Pacific Regional Commemoration of International Women’s Day 2024 (IWD 2024), jointly convened by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and UN Women, will highlight the remarkable roles held and contributions made, by women and girls working to reshape the economic landscape.

The theme of IWD 2024, ‘Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress’, will spotlight critical topics essential for fostering inclusive and equitable societies through the economic empowerment of women and girls.
