Asia and the Pacific launch of Getting Every One in the Picture – A snapshot of progress midway through the Asian and Pacific Civil Registration and Vital Statistics decade

You are cordially invited to the Asia and the Pacific launch of Getting Every One in the Picture – A snapshot of progress midway through the Asian and Pacific Civil Registration and Vital Statistics decade on Monday 28 June from 13:00 Bangkok time (GMT+7).

The report highlights the great achievements by countries to increase civil registration to ensure that all citizens are counted and can access education, health and social protection services. The report marks the mid-point of the Asian and Pacific Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Decade (2015-2024) and provides an opportunity to highlight challenges to universal registration systems and inform the discussions of the Second Ministerial Conference on CRVS in Asia and the Pacific to be held on 16-19 November 2021.

The Asia-Pacific launch will feature presentations on report findings by Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), and experiences on country progress from Bangladesh and Georgia. More information can be found in the attached event flyer.
