In collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the National Innovation Agency (NIA) as part of ESCAP’s Climate Invest Project under the Thailand segment, this workshop series aims to address critical gaps in accessing climate finance, particularly for non-infrastructure projects in developing economies.
Against the backdrop of global climate finance flows reaching US$ 1.27 trillion annually, only a fraction meets the investment needs, highlighting significant challenges for the Asia-Pacific region, including Thailand. Governments and stakeholders face capacity constraints in developing investable climate finance opportunities outside traditional infrastructure sectors.
Focused on advancing a robust climate tech startup ecosystem, this workshop series will convene government agencies, climate tech startups, project owners, financiers, and key stakeholders. Discussions will explore ESCAP’s latest research findings, identify barriers to financing green projects in Thailand, and showcase successful case studies of financed projects. Leaders in sustainable finance will share best practices, paving the way for innovative solutions to enhance green project financing pipelines.
This is an opportunity to contribute to shaping a resilient and sustainable future through enhanced climate finance strategies in Thailand.
