In addition, KCS shared their experience in applying new technologies such as Blockchain, Cloud Computing, AI application for compliance, risk management, data mining, among other emerging technologies.

Insights of the 5th Masterclass:

I. The application of Emerging/Disruptive Technologies can dramatically enhance trade facilitation nationally and across borders.

II. Nevertheless, the application of emerging/disruptive technologies is not a silver bullet for challenges in the international supply chain; other vital factors, such as legal frameworks ( e.g., Framework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-border Paperless Trade in Asia and the Pacific -https://www.unescap.org/kp/cpta), skillful and knowledgeable personnel on process analyzes and quality assurance for data are a must.
