The Energy Division has been developing the SDG 7 Roadmap for Kiribati. The inception workshop was held on the 28th July in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy (MISE), Kiribati. The workshop was aimed to achieve three objectives:
- Inform the process of SDG7 roadmap development,
- explain the benefits and outcomes of the SDG7 roadmap, and
- identify strategies and plans to customize the roadmap in the context of Kiribati.
The Energy Division welcomed a broad range of stakeholders, particularly agencies and departments involved in planning for the SDG7 targets, as well as participants from government departments, private sector, research institutes, NGOs, and international agencies.
