High-level Expert Group Meeting on
Public-Private Partnerships for Infrastructure Development

2-4 October 2007, Seoul, Republic of Korea

The High-level Expert Group Meeting will be convened by the ESCAP secretariat and hosted by the Government of the Republic of Korea in Seoul from 2 to 4 October 2007. The Meeting will provide an opportunity for agencies involved in public-private partnerships development to discuss issues of common concern especially for infrastructure development. Participants will also review a draft ministerial declaration (see below) which will be submitted to the Ministers for consideration and adoption.

The High-level Expert Group Meeting will be followed by the Asia-Pacific Business Forum on Public-Private Partnerships for Infrastructure Development, to be convened by ESCAP and the Korea Development Institute on 4 October 2007.

Immediately after the Forum, the Ministerial Conference on Public-Private Partnerships for Infrastructure Development will be held on 5 October 2007. It will be organized and hosted by the Government of the Republic of Korea, through the Ministry of Planning and Budget, with ESCAP providing support to the Conference.
