Objective
|
(1) To raise awareness and build capacity of senior government officials on how to promote integration of SMEs in global and regional potato value chains. This particular value chain was identified as a potential growth market and an important economic activity that could alleviate problems of rural poverty in the region among others.
(2) To provide in-depth discussion on the above areas and formulate a concrete action-plan for policy-making and regional cooperation aimed at fostering the successful integration of SMEs in global and regional potato value chains.
