Workshop on Informal Employment and Informal Sector Data Collection II: Evaluation, Processing and Utilization of Data from ‘1-2’ Surveys
Bangkok 14-16 May 2008

The workshop was a follow-up to the first activity in September 2007 and was designed to assist the project countries in reviewing and editing survey data; generation of dissemination variables; preparation of analytical tables; and in estimating the GDP of household unincorporated enterprises with at least some market production (HUEMs) and of the informal sector. Hence, it is crucial for the nominees to be familiar with questionnaire development; data processing and editing procedures and survey tabulations. In addition, the nominated national accountant was expected to work on the HUEM and informal sector GDP estimations and to remain the project focal point for national accounts in their countries.
