6. Industrial statistics

UNIDO

Objectives

(a)    To maintain the global industrial statistics databases of UNIDO; (b) to compile and disseminate global key industrial statistics; and (c) to assist countries in producing quality and timely industrial statistics.
 

Activities

(a)    Keeping three UNIDO databases updated:  Industrial Statistics Database at the 3-digit level of ISIC Rev.2 (INDSTAT3d), at the 4-digit level of ISIC Rev.2 (INDSTAT4d) and at the 3- and 4-digit levels of ISIC Rev.3; (b) updating and disseminating its Industrial Demand-Supply Balance Database at the 4-digit level of ISIC Rev.2 (IDSB); (c) disseminating data from the three databases INDSTAT3d, INDSTAT4d and IDSB in computer-readable forms; and (d) assisting national statistical offices in producing industrial statistics by installing UNIDO micro-computer software.
