The Regional Working
Group on Satellite Communication Applications has the
major objective of developing a self-sustaining mechanism
for promoting regional cooperation on satellite communication
applications and promoting technology transfer and exchange
of information and experience among participating countries
through sharing of information, conducting cooperative
projects and participating in training programmes.
The national contact points of the Regional Working
Group on Satellite Communication Applications are nominated
by the national focal point for RESAP or by the national
coordinating organization, and act under the general coordination
of the national focal point for RESAP. Each member country
of the Regional Working Group may have up to three national
contact points representing government, industry and academia,
including heads of national agencies responsible for coordinating
satellite communication applications.
TEMASEK Polytechnic of Singapore is maintaining the website
of the Regional Working Group at Temasek Polytechnic - Singapore.
China currently host the Coordination Office of the Regional
Working Group on Satellite Communication Applications. Prof. Yang Qianli
is designated as the Coordinator of the Regional Working
