Through a grant
from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Washington-based
Population Reference Bureau has recently established a new
tool for accessing and sharing research findings relevant
to less developed countries. Entitled “InfoShare”,
this electronic library will consist of documents supplied
by an ever-growing list of partner organizations worldwide
working in reproductive and child health, HIV/AIDS and population.
Already more than 60 such organizations provide input to
InfoShare, among which are the United Nations Population
Fund, Family Health International, Johns Hopkins Center
for Communication Programs, and Population Council.
Readers interested in the latest research in the field of
population and health can visit InfoShare’s website
at (www.phishare.org) and browse through numerous recently
published reports organized by topic, country, region, language
and partner organization. It is also possible to subscribe
to InfoShare’s monthly e-mail news alert. For more
information, contact by e-mail phishare@prb.org
