Kamphaeng Phet is on lower Northern Region and is located 358 kilometers from Bangkok.  It occupies an area of 8,607.5 square kilometers and  is administratively divided into 9 districts and 2 sub-districts: Muang Kamphaeng Phet, Khanu Woralaksaburi, Khlong Khlung, Khlong Lan, Lan Krabu, Phangsila Tong, Phran Kratai, Sai Ngam, Sai Thong Wattana, Bung Samakki sub-district and Kosampi Nakhon sub-district..  The province’s economic condition in genaral is highly satisfactory.  Its economic development growth is 9.4% yearly on the average.
