This directory provides an overview of projects/activities
undertaken by UN bodies and specialized agencies in
the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action
in Asia and the Pacific. As a review of progress since
the Third World Conference on Women in Nairobi in 1985,
the Beijing Platform for Action outlines several Critical
Areas of Concern, which are areas of particular urgency.
The magnitude of projects and activities of UN bodies
and specialized agencies are listed according to Critical
