UNITAR Online Learning Programmes in the area of Finance and Trade |
A range of online courses are available through the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR, http://www.unitar.org/dfm/DFMelearning/Index.htm). While UNITAR's mandate is to provide training for diplomats and other officials outside the UN System, ESCAP staff can get access to UNITAR online courses on a case by case basis.
Financial assistance may be requested from HRMS/ODSU, provided the coursework is relevant to the work, has a foreseeable impact on work tasks and receives the support of supervisors.
Allocation of financial assistance will depend on the amount and quality of applications received as well as the amount of funds available.
Financial assistance can only be granted if:
- Approval for the training activity was given by ASD/HRMS prior to the beginning of the course
- The course was completed successfully (based on the certificate of completion issued by UNITAR at the end of the course)
