Priorty 3: Upgrading of Technical and substantive Skills

  Poverty Analysis Training
    Duration: 5 days (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

    Target audience:
    Staff members form substantive divisions.
Objectives:
  The workshop objective is to enhance the capacity of participants with regard to measuring, monitoring and analysing poverty.

After completing the workshop participants are:
    • Familiar with concepts on poverty measurements from household surveys,
•  Able to undertake studies on poverty analysis, including the effective use of software applications such as STATA, and
•  Able to construct poverty profiles from micro data of household surveys.


The course/workshop will consist of presentations by the consultant, completion of computer hands-on/practical exercises by workshop participants, presentations and discussions and sharing of findings by participants of their workshop outputs on constructing Poverty Profiles.
