Information Technology Programmes

  Information Technology Infrastructure Library (training and examination)

    Facilitator: The Centre for IT Service Management (Thailand)
    Target audience: ESCAP staff members from Central Support Services Section and Information, Management, Communication and Technology Section.

    Course outline:

    This course provides comprehensive and valuable insight into the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practice for IT Service Delivery and Service Support. The course deals with the description and specifications of the IT Service Management processes and functions, concepts and objectives, terms and definitions, benefits and relationships, techniquesand issues for supporting and delivering IT services as defined in ITIL.

    •  Service Management overview - the need; the challenge
    •  The linkages to other Quality Management frameworks
    •  An overview of ITIL's Service Support and Delivery models
    •  Detailed descriptions of each ITIL process
