As a unit of the ESCAP Human Resources Management Section, Administrative Services Division, ODLU participates in the recruitment process by providing a standard set of tests and examinations which includes IT test and English language test.

Aside from administering recruitment examinations for the General Service category, ODLU is also responsible for managing the National Competitive Examination (NCE), Language Proficiency Examination (LPE) and Traslators Editors Examination.

ODLU also administers tests and examinations for other UN agencies and offices when requested.
