The purpose of the Asia-Pacific Business Forum 2007 is three-fold:

1. To provide a platform for senior government officials, business leaders and civil society representatives to discuss economic policy issues and their implications for Central Asia's increasing integration in the global economy.
2. To explore ways in which Central Asia can best meet the challenges and grasp the opportunities of globalization.
3. To foster region-wide networking and partnerships between the business community, Governments and civil society.

The discussions at the Forum are expected to lead to the formulation of an action-oriented agenda with specified roles for governments, business, international organizations and civil society.
