ESCAP/ECE/OHRLLS Regional Preparatory Expert Group Meeting of Euro-Asian
Landlocked Developing and Transit Countries for the Mid-Term Review
of the Almaty Programme of Action
22-23 April 2008, UNCC (CR-3), Bangkok, Thailand
In the meeting, landlocked and transit developing countries from the Asia-Pacific Region and Europe will have the opportunity to share their views on how the region a a whole has been implementing the Programme of Action and propose further actions required from all the stakeholders to meet the commitments of the Programme of Action during the next five days. The outcome of this meeting will provide a regional input for a strategy towards enhancing the full and effective achievement of the Almaty Programme of Action at the global level and will be presented as an input to the comprehensive mid-term reveiw by the United Natons General Assembly in October 2008.
