Poverty is Declining
Bangkok, United Nations Information Services (UNIS) -- “Poverty in all
its dimensions is declining in most countries of Asia and the Pacific,
but despite the decline it remains widespread. Moreover, it is more
widespread and more serious in rural areas than in urban areas and there
are also wide disparities between regions within a country.”
