CLOSING PRESS CONFERENCE OF ESCAP’S 57TH SESSION  - 25 April 2001

BANGKOK (United Nations Information Services) – The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) will conclude its 57th annual session tomorrow, Wednesday, 25 April 2001.  The adoption of the final Report will begin at 2:00 p.m. in ESCAP Hall, Level 2 of the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC).

Chairman of the 57th session H.E. Mr. Esmail Shafeeu, Minister of Home Affairs, Housing and Environment, Maldives, and Mr. Kim Hak-Su, Executive Secretary of ESCAP, will co-chair an end-of-session Press Conference on the outcome of the session at around 5:00 p.m. (after the adoption of the final Report of the Commission) on Wed., 25 April 2001 in the Threatre, Gound Floor of the UNCC.
