TOP ECONOMISTS IN ESCAP PANEL DISCUSSION

BANGKOK (United Nations Information Services) -- Renowned experts are expected to take part in a panel discussion tomorrow, Tuesday, 6 June 2000. They are

Professor Jagdish N. Bhagwati, Arthur Lehman Professor of Economics, Columbia University; Professor Kym Anderson, Centre for International Economic Studies, University of Adelaide, Australia, and Mr. Peter Tulloch, Director of Trade and Development Division of WTO, Geneva.

You or your representatives are cordially invited to attend a panel discussion on "The Role of the World Trade Organization in the Integration of Developing Countries and Economies in Transition into the International Trading System" on Tuesday, 6 June 2000 from 0900 to 1200 hours Conference Room 2, Level 2 of the United Nations Conference Centre, Rajadamnern Nok Avenue.

The Panel Discussion is being held as part of the Ministerial Segment of the 56th Commission Session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
